Important Message From Our Food & Nutrition Services Department

On Friday, May 12, Mesquite ISD’s Food & Nutrition Services Department was hit by the worldwide Cyber Attack. As a result, all cafeteria software was affected, causing issues with student accounts. Our Technical Services team is working tirelessly to resolve the problems, but in the meantime, we want to keep you informed on how this situation impacts students and parents. Rest assured that student information and credit card information was not compromised. But in protective measures to keep information from being compromised, the outcome resulted in limited communication between outside systems and our registers on each campus.

Student meal account balances are not available at this time.

  • The online payment system, School Café, has been turned off.
  • Parents will not see accurate information in their School Café accounts
  • Cash or check payments may still be made at the register
  • Free & reduced meal applications must be processed manually; online applications are not available at this time

Mesquite ISD will keep you informed of any updates to this situation. Our top priority is ensuring that all students continue to receive healthy meals while at school. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues.

Mesquite High School Additions and Renovation

Mesquite ISD and Gallagher Services invite bids from all interested subcontractors for new Additions and Renovations at Mesquite High School. All bids received will be evaluated in accordance with the Texas Government Code in order to obtain the best overall value for Mesquite ISD. The information below is provided as a general overview of the bidding requirements and procedures and does not replace or supersede any other information contained in the contract documents.

Bid Time/Date/Location:  Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Mesquite ISD Administration Building located at 3819 Towne Crossing, Mesquite, Texas 75150. All bids received after the 2:00 PM deadline will not be accepted.

Insurance Requirements:  General Liability, Automobile, Workers Compensation, Excess Liability and other insurance WILL be required of each Subcontractor performing work on the project,  WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  Refer to the contract documents for insurance requirements.  All cost of require insurance coverages and endorsements SHALL be included in the base bid.

Bid Documents:  Electronic copies of the bid documents may be obtained free of charge by contacting Lance Aaron at Gallagher Services via e-mail (laaron@gallaghertx.com) or by accessing bid information at www.gallaghertx.com  Electronic copies of the bid documents will also be furnished to area plan rooms.

PRE-BID MEETING:  A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Mesquite High School Cafeteria (Unit B) 300 East Davis, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A site visit will be made after the pre-bid meeting. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting and subsequent site visit is not mandatory, but strongly suggested.      NO OTHER SITE VISITS WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT BY MESQUITE ISD AND GALLAGHER SERVICES.

Mesquite ISD and Gallagher Services appreciate interest in this project and will work diligently to assure a fair and competitive bidding process to obtain the best value for the District.
