Step 1: Call or email the Help Desk

Step 2: A work order will be created. Parents will be given instructions and a date and time to drop off the device to the school.

Step 3: Take the damaged device to your feeder high school campus and give it to the front office. They can take devices Monday through Thursday. All school offices are closed on Fridays.

Step 4: The Tech Services team will collect the Chromebooks and perform the necessary repairs.

Step 5: Once repairs are completed, Chromebooks will be returned to the student's home campuses around the beginning of the school year.

Step 6: Students can collect their Chromebooks when they return to school.

1st through 11th-grade students in Mesquite ISD keep their school-assigned device year-round

This change was made to ensure all students have access to ebooks, audiobooks, and the ReadSquared summer reading program at home on their own device all summer! Additionally, taking their device home over the summer will allow all students to access online educational and enrichment resources to explore and create. Reading, thinking, and creating over the summer will continue to build the skills students learn in school and decrease the chance of learning loss while school is not in session.

See below for tips and ideas to help your student learn and explore on their device all summer.
