2025 Bond

On May 3, 2025, Mesquite ISD voters approved a $600 million bond to strengthen safety, support growth, and modernize aging facilities across the district. This page will be the home for ongoing updates, photos, and milestones as projects move from planning to completion.

How we got here

  • October – December, 2024 – MISD established a Facility Planning Committee made up of community members, business leaders, students, staff, and parents to evaluate district needs and priorities.

  • January 2025 – Committee representatives presented findings and recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

  • February 2025 –  The Board of Trustees voted unanimously to adopt an order calling a $600 million bond election.

  • May 3, 2025 – Voters approved the 2025 Bond, affirming a community-built plan to invest in safe, modern learning spaces.

The 2025 Bond is the product of a months-long, community-driven process—reflecting our shared commitment to Excellence Always. Check back for the latest progress as we deliver safer, stronger schools for every MISD student.
