Mesquite High School | Business Management
Class of 2025
Success is not just a dream for Eliezer Escobedo. It is a promise he intends to keep. From a young age, he knew he wanted to run his own business. But it was through Mesquite ISD’s CTE and business programs that his vision began to take shape. In classrooms filled with simulations, accounting challenges, and real-world learning, Eliezer found more than knowledge. He found direction.
Teachers like Ms. Woods and Mr. Johnson helped him see his potential. They offered mentorship, encouragement, and the kind of high expectations that helped him grow. Whether baking homemade donuts or planning a multicultural restaurant that blends Italian and Indian flavors, Eliezer approaches every idea with a mix of determination and creativity. “I found my voice when I stopped relying on others and started pursuing what I want,” he says. “Being grateful and never losing hope is how I keep going.”
Eliezer has big goals. He plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business management or accounting. But his focus goes beyond college. He dreams of building his own company. He wants to create opportunities for others and one day design the dream home his mother has always imagined.
His time at Mesquite High School has shaped more than his skill set. It shaped his mindset. It helped him believe in what is possible and reminded him that success starts with vision and effort. “Your only limits are the ones you put on yourself,” he says.
Eliezer’s future is filled with possibility. And to those walking their own uncertain path, he offers encouragement. “Even though things might feel like a mistake now, you will find your way. You will become the successful person you are meant to be.”
