Open Enrollment
Choose Excellence.
Open enrollment gives families outside Mesquite ISD the opportunity to choose a district that puts students first. Apply for a transfer and discover meaningful learning experiences, leadership opportunities, and a culture of Excellence Always.
In Mesquite ISD, passionate educators will welcome your child with high expectations and a belief that every student can excel, creating a culture where achievement and belonging go hand in hand. Across the district, students have access to meaningful learning experiences and leadership opportunities that set Mesquite ISD apart, helping them grow with confidence and prepare for success in college, career, and life.
The out-of-district transfer application window for the 2026–27 school year is closed.
As part of the transfer consideration process, we will review each student’s attendance, discipline, and academic records to ensure they are ready for success in our schools. Seats are limited, and approvals will be based on instructional space and staffing at each campus.
