Isaias Fabian
Isaias Fabian
North Mesquite High School | Band
Class of 2025
When Isaias Fabian picked up a tuba in middle school, he was simply curious. He wanted to try something new. What began as a casual decision quickly became something more. Through the band, Isaias found a sense of belonging. He found a community that believed in him and challenged him to grow.
At first, he was quiet and reserved. But watching upperclassmen like Jordan Genifore model excellence and leadership lit a spark in him. By his sophomore year, Isaias stepped into a leadership role of his own. As a section leader, he became a mentor for younger musicians, someone they could count on for guidance and encouragement. “Knowledge is not valuable if you do not share it with others,” he says.
The moment that defined his path came during his junior year. Isaias earned a spot in the All-State Band, a goal he had worked toward with relentless dedication. “I was about to cry,” he says. “All the hard work paid off.” Now a two-time All-State musician, Isaias is preparing to attend the New England Conservatory of Music. His dream is to one day join “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, using his music to inspire, comfort, and connect with others.
Throughout his time in Mesquite ISD, Isaias found support in the directors and teachers who challenged him to take risks, try new things, and trust his talent. Every solo performance, every late-night rehearsal, and every early morning call time helped shape him into the leader he is today.
Isaias is charting his course with confidence. He knows who he is and who he aims to become: a leader who serves with heart, lifts others, and proves that passion and persistence make anything possible. “Dream big,” he says. “Hard work truly pays off.”
