Mesquite Independent School District has been named a finalist for the 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, earning statewide recognition for the Mesquite ISD Board of Trustees.

The Mesquite Virtual Learning Experience is a hybrid learning option for eligible rising 11th- and 12th-grade students enrolled in Mesquite ISD.

Mesquite ISD will take center stage this New Year’s Day as Horn High School band instructors Brooke Stehr and Sean Albarran march in the 2026 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.

More than 300 MISD students had the opportunity to shine as Advanced Academics hosted the Elementary and Middle School UIL A+ Academics District Meets.

At the December 8 Mesquite ISD Board meeting, the district celebrated a number of exceptional students, staff, and community partners whose dedication continues to make a lasting impact on MISD.
