Introducing Hybrid Learning Option for Rising 11th- and 12th-Grade Students

WHAT
Students admitted to MVLE can take up to four online courses remotely and complete the remaining classes on their home campus.
WHY
This hybrid model is designed to provide flexibility for students and families while preserving access to the full range of campus activities and events.
WHO
MVLE is open to rising 11th- and 12th-grade students, with the goal of eventually expanding opportunities to lower grade levels. Spots will be limited for each campus and will be based on an application process.
HOW
Instruction will be delivered through the district’s approved virtual learning program, Edmentum. Mesquite ISD teachers will offer virtual office hours and support for a majority of the courses. Dual credit courses will be administered through Mesquite ISD’s partnership with Dallas College.
WHEN
The Mesquite Virtual Learning Experience will officially launch in the fall of 2026. The application for rising 11th and 12th-graders will open on January 13 and close on January 26, 2026, in Skyward Family Access.
