Mesquite ISD Earns CTE District of Distinction Recognition for Second Consecutive Year
For the second consecutive year, Mesquite ISD has been named a Career and Technical Education (CTE) District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT), recognizing the district's continued commitment to providing high-quality programs that prepare students for success beyond graduation.
The statewide recognition honors school districts that demonstrate excellence and innovation in career and technical education, offering meaningful learning experiences that align with industry needs and prepare students for the workforce.
In Mesquite ISD, students can explore career interests, develop technical skills, and gain hands-on experience through 37 CTE programs of study, from health sciences and information technology to culinary arts, education, and skilled trades.
Beyond the classroom, students have opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications, college credits through dual-credit courses, and valuable work experience that can give them a head start on their futures.
