Staff Wellness Updates for the New School Year ✨

New year, new wellness opportunities for MISD staff! As you prepare to embark on a new school year, remember to also dedicate time for your mental and physical wellness - it's essential!

For just $10 a year, you can join the MISD Staff Wellness Program and enjoy unlimited access to various fitness classes and benefits, including:
  • Strength training & aerobics
  • Planet Fitness discount
  • Subscription to WELCOA magazine
  • Earn prizes for exercise participation

Becoming a member is easy! Submit your membership form and payment to District Wellness Liaison Brandi McIver, M.Ed. in-person at McDonald Middle School, or take advantage of our easy online payment option by following these instructions.

🐝 Bee Healthy, Bee Happy: Benefits Health Fair

We're buzzing with excitement for the annual MISD Benefits Health Fair! Join us this Wednesday, August 5, from 10 AM to 1 PM in the PDC - Vision Room (3819 Towne Crossing Blvd., Mesquite, TX 75150). Be one of the first 300 people to attend and enjoy FREE breakfast tacos or pancakes and fresh lemonade!

🩸 Carter BloodCare Drive

The Carter BloodCare Bus is coming to the MISD Administration Building on Thursday, August 20, from 8 AM to 3 PM. To give blood, donors can sign up for an appointment here.

🚐 Methodist Health System Mobile Mammography Screening

Methodist Health System's Mobile Mammography Unit will be on-site at the MISD Administration Building on Wednesday, August 26, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, offering convenient screening mammograms for eligible staff.

💉 Vaccination Clinic Pop-Ups

Passport Health and Staying Healthy Medical Services will host on-site vaccine clinics across the district, starting Monday, September 14. In order to receive services, you must bring a copy of your insurance card and driver's license to the appointment.
