Mesquite ISD Selected for Holdsworth’s Inaugural School Leadership Blueprint Cohort

Mesquite ISD has been selected as one of six Texas public school districts to join Holdsworth’s inaugural School Leadership Blueprint cohort, a transformative, multi-year partnership focused on redesigning how leadership works on school campuses to better support teachers and improve student success.
The initiative, led by the Holdsworth Center, addresses a growing challenge in public education: school leaders are being asked to carry complex responsibilities, while teachers, especially those new to the profession, need consistent coaching and support to thrive in the classroom.
Through the School Leadership Blueprint, participating districts will work with Holdsworth to redesign campus leadership structures by creating stronger teacher-leader roles, increasing instructional coaching, and clarifying leadership responsibilities at every level. The goal is to build sustainable systems that allow principals, assistant principals, and teacher leaders to focus more intentionally on supporting educators and improving student outcomes.
For Mesquite ISD, participation in the cohort represents an investment in both staff development and student achievement. By strengthening leadership systems across campuses, the district aims to create collaborative learning environments where teachers receive meaningful support and students benefit from enhanced learning opportunities.
Initiatives like the School Leadership Blueprint are designed to ensure teachers feel supported, leaders can lead effectively, and students have access to high-quality instruction every day.
Mesquite ISD joins Donna, Harlingen, Crandall, Terrell, and Sheldon ISDs in the inaugural cohort.
